For some reason I've never understood why people enjoy blogging. I've always found it a bit intrusive and unnecessary. However, I formed this opinion without really giving it a shot. That's why now in 2010, I've decided to give it a try and see for myself. My blog is titled "Policy of la Verdad" for a few reasons: ONE because I'm currently pursuing my masters in Public Policy and Management. TWO because I feel the truth (La Verdad) can set anyone free and last because I recently heard Depeche Mode's song "Policy of Truth" and I realized that they basically warn their listeners from always telling the truth: "You had something to hide/ Should have hidden it, shouldn't you/ Now you're not satisfied/ With what you're being put through"
Talk about things that make you go hmmmm! After I listened to the song and studied the lyrics a bit closely, I realized that yes I have definitely been in situations where if I told the truth, I would have potentially rocked to the boat more than what was needed. In this blog I plan to explore this notion and highlight topics, events, occurrences where the Policy of La Verdad is faithfully ignored and all the chaos, hoopla, drama that results!
